Thursday, June 11th 2026 is the opening of Vanity's first solo exhibition at OSCAM. The show is called Where We Land, presented as part of the Young OSCAM Art Kitchen (YOAK). In figurative paintings, Wezer captures the quiet, everyday rhythms of life in Suriname and explores how place shapes the way we experience time, inhabit space, and find meaning in the everyday.

Working with acrylic on canvas, Wezer brings together scenes from daily life and the natural environment of Suriname. Her paintings reflect the climate, landscape, humidity, light, and stillness of the country, capturing the tension between knowing where you come from and the gradual process of coming home to yourself and your surroundings.
